Use of Cookies
At UPM Company Limited, our website uses “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize Upmega pages, or register with our site or social media services, a cookie helps us recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as addresses and so on. When you return to the same Upmega website or feed, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the Upmega features that you customized.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Upmega feeds or websites you visit.
Security of your Personal Information
UPM Company Limited secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Our website uses secure URL access protocols and end-to-end encryption between your web browser and our web server. When you share data with one of our customer engagement team, it is stored in a dedicated secure platform with restricted access. The social media platforms on which we operate (specifically, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) are governed by the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union and their rules of operation and business comply with this standard. We take responsibility for and have put in place processes to ensure our compliance with the rules of operation and business on these platforms.
We store the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in controlled, secure environments and/or use cloud storage within our secure network. In both cases, your data is protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Where we use the services of third parties, for example for the delivery of your Upmega product, our contracts ensure that they are required to protect the confidentiality of any personal private information provided to them and to destroy any such data after use.
